Most of you know by now that the City of Chicago is currently planning to give Part 2 of the Detective’s exam on April 23rd, 2026.
Part 2 will be a Written Work Sample Assessment Exam. The work samples will include items that CPD detectives might have to deal with in a work day. Some items will be things that CPD detectives deal with frequently. Others will include items where it is of critical importance for a CPD detective to handle. Part 2 will be a written, competency-based assessment designed to evaluate specific behavioral and performance-related skills.
In order to prepare police officers for the new detectives promotional part 2 exam, Bernstein Test Prep will be offering a comprehensive paid review course. The course will cover “How to best prepare for the upcoming CPD Detectives promotional exam.” All candidates who are interested in getting a promotion should attend!
TRAINING PLAN
You should know we are very, very familiar with this type of testing! We will begin with an overview of what the part 2 written assessment exam is all about. Although this is the first time this test maker has developed a detectives exam for Chicago, they have done detectives exams throughout the country. We will specifically review which areas the testmaker likes to test. After candidates learn what it is, we will teach a strategy for each part 2 section. The strategy has worked very effectively for our students throughout the United States. Finally, we will practice with in-class assessment test items and score them in class. High probable assessment test areas will be reviewed in every class!
The feedback from our students on our promotional exam review course has been extremely positive. Bernstein students have consistently had the highest scores! Picking the right course for the new test is an important decision. You want to go with a proven winner!
