5. What is the Bernstein tentative training plan for the sergeant’s exam?
We will start in January of 2019 with a diagnostic 100-item online pre-test. This will tell you where you are strong, and where you are weak. In February/March, I will put out advance online reading list assignments for part 1 and 2. I will also release select audio files. Then on April 27 & 28, we will hold two in-person introductory exam overview classes at Malcolm X College.
All in-person sergeant classes are either 9:00 am – 1:00 pm or 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm. The night class is an exact repeat of the day class. We will then transition to part 1 online training for May, June, and July.
If the part 1 exam is given in November or December, we will hold our in-person comprehensive review course in August, September, and October. Then, we will have an online review and testing in November. Our comprehensive course will continue approximately 6 – 8 weeks prior to part 2 of the sergeant’s exam.
